The temps are plummeting around here, and the highs haven’t passed 10F for a solid week. Strangely enough, life just doesn’t feel quite as cold anymore. I must have some Viking genes wound up in my DNA, and I think they’re clawing their way out of dormancy. On the first snowboard trip of the season, when it was a balmy 25F, my toes froze solid — but during my latest adventure, when my breath froze, my toes stayed warm.
So I had to check around and do some research. Maybe us Yanks have a little bit of grit in us after all. Then someone sent me this little video, and I realized that Norway isn’t the only place in the world where it gets Really Damn Cold.
Anyway, here’s some landscape photography of Norway — of a dark storm above the fjords of Molde. Sure looks cozy inside that house in the last picture!
